"So much good information...We started early in the morning and didn't finish until late in the evening, shooting, editing, and getting some of the best feed back," said David Nurse who attended Sports Shooter IX, "It's about being pushed out of your comfort zone and that's what (the workshop faculty) did."

The application website will be open in the next 10 days. The workshop application process includes a portfolio submission (links to a personal website or if you're a SportsShooter.com member just create a "private gallery" ) and a short essay telling us about your photography experience, what you hope to take away from the SSA experience and what you hope to accomplish in the sports photography or photojournalism field.

" In our field we simply cannot afford to stop learning," said SSA IX participant Reggie Ferraz said, "The Sports Shooter Academy was truly one of the greatest workshop experiences I've ever had and I believe at the end of the day we all came out as a much better photographer and a greater sense of respect and appreciation of this profession."
